THE FOUNDATION

FullSizeRenderThe Cynthia A. Guillory Foundation is an organization dedicated to providing support to families in need throughout the Greater Houston area.

The summer of 2001, Khaliah had no idea tragedy was about to strike.  Her mother, Cynthia A. Guillory (Woogie),  was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease or ALS.  Unfortunately, Cynthia passed away in the fall of 2002.  Khaliah vowed to her mother to continue her legacy of philanthropy, discovered her purpose and founded the Cynthia A. Guillory Foundation (CAG) in December 2011.

KOG in fact is born of a deep, personal loss. In the summer of 2001, Khaliah’s mother—Cynthia A. Guillory—was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. In the fall of 2002, Cynthia succumbed to this disease. Yet hope springs eternal. Determined to fulfill her mother’s legacy of philanthropy, Khaliah discovered her own purpose and founded the Cynthia A. Guillory Foundation (CAG) in December 2011. CAGs mission is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others through charitable giving and raise ALS awareness in Houston and surrounding communities. Through her CAG endeavors, Khaliah discovered her gift to reach others.

Khaliah’s vast experiences as a leader working for Fortune 500 companies has awarded her Houston’s Next Generation of Leaders Award.
